I make unique Kitchens, both fitted and free-standing, by hand, using traditional furniture making methods. Utility rooms and Boot rooms, larders and laundry rooms all handcrafted from the best materials; tailor made to fit exactly.
Each commission is handmade from scratch here in the workshop on the edge of the New Forest. I take care to work with you to produce a workable, attractive design that is sympathetic to your space. As each and every kitchen and piece of furniture is truly bespoke it can be designed and handmade to almost any style, size and taste.
The solid reliability of Oak, the smooth hardness of Maple and the versatility of Tulip wood; Just some of the timbers that are used in the construction of quality furniture. Where possible these timbers are sustainably sourced and waste is kept to a minimum. There is no such thing as an offcut!
I will, at your invitation, come to your home to measure the space and discuss your requirements. The next stage is to produce drawings , both measured and 3d, so we can visualize the finished project. Once we have made any necessary revisions and you are happy with the drawings then we can start work!
All my kitchens are finished, the old fashioned way, by hand. Hand painted kitchens are painstakingly finished with quality paints such as Farrow & Ball or similar. For designs that show off the natural beauty of timber hard wax oil is used. This gives a hard wearing and attractive finish.
The workshop is open by appointment only, but I am happy to make appointments at flexible times. If you would like to talk to us about your specific project, please get in touch!
